Avatar Professions (discussion) |
When manually entering your professional status, how do you determine your level?
e.g. If I am listed as Green,2 for a profession, how does that translate into a numeric value?
I can't get PESTATS to grab my info. It keeps abending.
Thanks in advance for the assistance!

EU Companion by Dutchie. It's in development, but works fine, and as Anoyomouse has stopped developing PEStats it's the only choice that's left after VU8.8 (when MA moved the Professions to their own tab/pane).
If you're listed as
Green,2 for a profession, then use the numeric value (
2 in that case) into the Avatar Professions Wiki chart.
Paolo (talk) - 2007-03-15 17.14.35 Thanks. I'll try that. I'm interested in the Personalized info PE now offers. I'm sure at my level it doesn't mean that much, but someday it might. :-)
jackel (talk) - 24-11-2024 00:53:54 I tried it your way, but it didn't seem to work. The personalized stats for weapons weren't correct... but, I found something that might work...
Since the particular skills I was referring to were listed as "Green, 2", I looked in the rank listing and found that Green was rank #7. Instead of using the numeric of the profession, I used the rank number. When I checked my Personalized Stats again, the average damage done was more closely related with the actual calculated average damage. I think that's the key. So, I'm going to try entering all the Rank numbers associated with my different professions, and see if they match the actual values listed in EU.
Thanks for your help!
jackel (talk) - 24-11-2024 00:53:54 You realy need to use the number "2" to get it correct. The ranks has no meaning realy. Keep in mind that to calculate the damage you do, your amount of misses is also taken into account. For example: if your avarage damage is 60%, and you miss 20% of the time, then for a weapon that does 10 damage your effective damage will be 60% * 80% * 10 = 4.8 damage.

jackel (talk) - 24-11-2024 00:53:54 Witte, there seems to be some display problems with the Avatar Professions table.
This may be due in some cases to professions being deleted in the Professions table, leaving broken links.
However, I notice that in some cases the avatar is in the Avatar Table, and the Profession is unchanged, but the avatar page no longer shows their Professions table due to broken links. .. Like this one: Aurus Slack O'Doyl (hope he doesnt mind me using him as an example).
